Relief Carving Demonstration

Come to this demonstration as local tinkerer and SHAK Makerspace member David Braun demonstrates the art of relief carving. There will also be information available about how you can get involved with SHAK.

More about David

David was born a maker. He first tinkered with wooden blocks and catapults before moving on to a modified VW Beetle, cannons, gears, and much more. His maker education came from a farm background where he built out of necessity without having much. He began welding at age 10 and has been combining metal in interesting ways ever since. Most recently, he created “When the Earth Moves,” a public sculpture for the City of Kokomo. He was formally educated in mathematics and computer science and worked in the national labs, the heavy equipment industry, automotive industry, and technical/HPC research. He is the CEO of Cogbots and is the CRO of Thavron Solutions.
