Room for Doubt Conference

October 2, 2015, 5:30 PM - October 3, 2015, 6:30 PM

East 91st Street Christian Church

We live in a secular culture that is either indifferent or hostile to the Christian faith. This has been the reality on our university campuses for decades. However, all you have to do is pay attention to current events to see that the majority within our culture either deal with skepticism or wholesale rejection of the Biblical worldview. If you were raised in the church there is the tension between what you have been taught and the pull of what our culture says is right and true in questions such as:

  • Who is Jesus?
  • Can I trust the Bible
  • How do I determine what is true?
  • What should I believe and how I should live?
  • How should you engage the world around you about the claims of Christ?

Students and adults are invited to express their questions and explore answers at the Room for Doubt Conference.

Cost: This is a free conference.

Anchors Away Ministry
How to address the emotional tension between what we have been taught and what we are experiencing in our culture. Led by Nancy Fitzgerald. Great for students, parents and grandparents.

The Crescent Project
The Crescent Project’s mission is to inspire, equip and serve the Church to reach Muslims with the Gospel of Christ for the Glory of God. It is our vision to see a day when fear is replaced with love and millions of Christians are actively sharing the truth of Christ with millions of Muslims for the glory of God. We do this through prayer, training, local outreach, and short-term trips. Led by David Dryden.

Truth at Work
Purpose to your work—understanding and living out a Biblical worldview for your work and career. Led by Ray Hilbert.

BioGenesis Project and the Indiana Creation Science Association
Evidences for Creation: Does it really matter? What’s the difference between evolution and creation? Can I believe in both? Does the scientific evidence support creation? Where do the dinosaurs fit in? Was there a global flood as the Bible states? If so, where did the water come from and where did it go? What about the strata and the fossils? What about Pluto, the recent NASA fly-by and the solar system? Was there a Big Bang? Led by Tom Foltz.
