Judson Road Christian Church (2006 W. Judson Rd., Kokomo) is launching seven different small groups this month. The groups will study a broad range of topics, from understanding God’s basic nature to learning how to witness to Muslims.

The Old Testament book of Hosea is “a story about an unlikely couple; an unusual marriage, a man in love, and an illicit affair. The story of Hosea and his wife will shock you and warm your heart. For: Women
Days: Wednesdays for seven weeks, February 17–May 11

This small group will be based on “The Truth and Islam” class at Summit Theological Seminary. “Islam has been a growing and alarming feature in the news. What exactly do they teach? Isn’t Allah just another name for the same God we serve? What does the Koran actually teach? Is Islam a peaceful or violent religion? How do we talk to a Muslim about Jesus?” Come find answers to these and other questions!

Who is God by Francis Chan

“We say we love God. We say we follow Him. We say His spirit is with us. Do we mean it? Do we even know what our lives should look like if we do?” Come and find out. This group will be video- and study-guide-based. There is room for 10 people; childcare is not available.

Normal just isn’t working. Normal people are stressed, overwhelmed, and exhausted. Many of their relationships are at best strained and in most cases just surviving. Even though we live in one of the most prosperous places on earth, normal is still living paycheck to paycheck and never getting ahead. When it comes to God, the majority believe in Him, but the teachings of Scripture rarely make it into their everyday lives. Simply put, normal isn’t working. In this six-session study, Groeschel’s WEIRD views will help you break free from the norm to lead a radically abnormal (and endlessly more fulfilling) life.
