Objectivity?

“But just take the jurists’ side for a moment: why, in fact, should a trial be supposed to have two possible outcomes when our general elections are conducted on the basis of one candidate? An acquittal is, in fact, unthinkable from the economic point of view! It would mean that the informers, the Security officers, the Interrogators, the prosecutor’s staff, the internal guard in the prison, and the convoy had all worked to no purpose.”

Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn, The Gulag Archipelago, 1918-1956: An Experiment in Literary Investigation, Books I-II

Savorless Salt

A recent article by Larry Alex Taunton over at The American Spectator is well worth reading:

If abortion, infanticide, violence in our streets, election-rigging, and the evils of Marxism aren’t enough to rouse some churches, for what purpose do they exist?

Larry Alex Taunton

Mr. Taunton does a superb job of showing how the Religion of Wokeness has invaded the ministries of influential leaders like Tim Keller and John Piper.

It’s reminiscent of what the prophet Isaiah wrote:

10“Israel’s watchmen are blind,
they all lack knowledge;
they are all mute dogs,
they cannot bark;
they lie around and dream,
they love to sleep.
11They are dogs with mighty appetites;
they never have enough.
They are shepherds who lack understanding;
they all turn to their own way
each seeks his own gain.”

Isaiah 56:10–11, NIV 1984

I Take Care of You

WASHINGTON, D.C. — This morning, U.S. Representative Debbie Wasserman Schultz appeared on the House floor with a mask that read, “I TAKE CARE OF YOU.”

This brings to mind a quote from George Orwell:

“No one believes more firmly than Comrade Napoleon that all animals are equal. He would be only too happy to let you make your decisions for yourselves. But sometimes you might make the wrong decisions, comrades, and then where should we be?”

George Orwell, Animal Farm

WATCH: Canadian Police RAID Family Home For Breaking “6 People” Rule

“Canadian police stormed an ‘illegal gathering of six people’ in a Gatineau home after a neighbor ratted them out. The residents resisted. Six police – the same number as were gathered in the home – arrived at the door and attempted to break up this nefarious gathering.”

The Overlooked Victims of Quarantine

“The big topic no one’s talking about: 👉Who are the most vulnerable to the social and economic devastation of coronavirus quarantine? It’s probably not the group you suspect.”

Mr. Prager created Prager U, a nonprofit that produces thought-provoking videos on political topics such as “The Intolerance of Tolerance” and “Can You Define Socialism?” Each week, Mr. Prager hosts a fireside chat where he answers viewers’ questions and shares his perspective on current news topics.
